Ohh Deer Papergang – October 2018 Edition

Back when I was at school, I was a serious stationary hoarder. I pretty much had enough pens, notepads and post-it notes to keep the rest of the class afloat. It’s been a long 7 years since I left school, and guess what? Things haven’t changed. I’m still a massive hoarder of stationary. So naturally, I’m drawn to any monthly subscription box which adds to my ever-growing collection!

This is the third Papergang box I’ve got my hands on, and definitely won’t be the last.

What is Papergang?

Papergang is a monthly stationary subscription box, brought to us by Ohh Deer. Each monthly box has a new theme, which is designed in collaboration with a new artist or illustrator. The contents of each box vary from month to month, though generally you get an array of greetings cards, notebooks, planners, desk accessories and prints.

The items included in each box are exclusive to Papergang members for a period of time before they are launched online at www.ohhdeer.com. And for every 4 boxes sold, a tree gets planted in association with the charity Tree Aid.

Box Contents

At the start of 2018, Ohh Deer ran a ‘Pitch A Papergang’ competition, giving the chance for one artist to design a future box for Papergang. Out of 2000+ entries, Beth Tibbles was the lucky gal who won over Papergangs followers with her vibrant dinosaur design.

Octobers edition contained 5 products, designed around Beth’s beautiful dinosaur theme.

I’ll start with my favourite item of the box – the A4 desk pad. Retailing at £7.95, this planner gives you the space to plan out your week, keep track of your to-do list and even do some doodles of your own. I’ve popped some magnetic strips on the back of mine and stuck it to the fridge to use it for a weekly meal planner and shopping list, but there are all sorts of uses for this planner. If you decide to use the planner to keep up with events of the next week, including birthdays, then you’ll love the next two items in the box. There’s a large A1 sheet of gift wrap (RRP of £1.75) and a cute little birthday card (RRP of £2.50). Both items are ideal for young children, or if you know an adult who acts like a big kid then it’s ideal for them too!

Now we’re coming into the cooler months, I’m excited to snuggle down with a good cuppa tea and a movie – and this next item is an ideal companion for doing just that. Retailing at £2.95, it’s a marvellous dinosaur coaster. Ohh Deer currently have a great offer on their website where you can grab 4 coasters for £10 – so you can easily grab yourself a whole set of these! The last item in October’s box is a beautiful enamel pin. Retailing at £5.95, this would make a perfect little gift for any dinosaur fan, or would make a great touch on a rucksack!

Packaging, Price & Delivery

A monthly rolling subscription costs £10.95, plus £2.95 postage. There are other options to subscribing though, and the longer you opt for the better deal you get on the subscription. If you subscribe for 3 months, you get 50% off your first box. A 6-month subscription gets you 1 free box, and 2 free boxes with a 12-month subscription.

You can find out all the information you need to subscribe on Ohh Deer’s website.

Each box is shipped within the first 7 working days of the month, though if you order after this point it will arrive within 1-3 working days or your order.
